The EDGE in Partnership with FCPS’ MentorWorks

We are excited to announce the launch of our new partnership with MentorWorks. Our programs with MentorWorks will focus on building relationships, understanding perspectives, and practicing a growth mindset—essential components to creating an inclusive, supportive learning community. To that end, you will experience activities that engage mentors and mentees in problem solving, cooperation, collaboration, creativity, active listening, and group decision-making.

All programs are:

  • Grounded in socio-emotional learning
  • Tied to Virginia SOLs
  • Inclusive and accessible

Our program overviews are below. To get started, reach out to Martha Macdonald, Conflict Resolution & Mentoring Specialist, Office of Student Safety and Wellness, Fairfax County Public Schools: MMacdonald@fcps.edu

We had a wonderful learning experience with ManUp! at John R. Lewis High School in December and Kilmer Middle School in February. Thank you for believing in us and our process, and sharing your students with us!
