For more than 30 years, George Mason University’s challenge course program has built strong teams and developed strong skills for thousands of university students, staff, and faculty. Campus communities have thriving organizations formed around many interests and causes. The EDGE provides team building and bonding opportunities for any college or university sorority, fraternity, organization, sports team or department. The EDGE also partners with several Mason academic programs to help students make stronger connections not only with each other but to course content. Courses we’ve worked with include Mason’s University 100, Introduction to Integrative Studies, Leadership and Outdoor Education, Leadership and Group Dynamics. The EDGE facilitators work closely with instructors to deliver activities that help make direct, real-time connections to course curriculum.
Our aerial-based programs can be great for teams that want a shared, fun experience, perhaps as a way to re-energize or de-stress. We periodically hold open climbs for Mason students at our 50 foot Alpine Tower, and the tower can also be reserved as part of a team retreat or similar outing.
