The EDGE SUPPORTS PWCS LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
In 2017, the Student Leadership Conference, Igniting the Spark, Focusing the Flame, celebrated 10 years of leadership among Prince William County Schools middle and high school students.
The EDGE has introduced leadership concepts to attending students through its EDGE on Wheels portable team building programs since 2012. The 10th anniversary year saw each of our three interactive sessions filled to capacity with 40 students. View the video to learn more about the history of the conference and to see The EDGE facilitators in action (:03 &:37).
The George Mason Science and Technology campus will again host the conference on March 12, 2018.
Wow, we made it on Kurdish television! What a thrill to be included in this 30-minute long film examining how young Kurdish Americans think about their identity. It aired on Kurdish satellite channel, KurdSat, on September 17, 2012. Part of the filming took place during the Mason Kurdistan Student Organization’s teambuilding program at The EDGE. We especially like the segment beginning at 26:06 where they discuss how to balance two cultures while showing the group working at the Whale Watch activity on our Challenge Course. Check it out!

Project Peak is a George Mason University Program for incoming students – The EDGE partners with Project Peak to provide a great experience here on the Challenge Course. Check it out!
Participant videos: “I found this great place to climb at the GMU Manassas campus. Staff was very friendly and it was great workout. Definitely gets the adrenaline going too. Can’t remember doing anything that got my heart rate up this high without the danger of killing myself. Video was taken with the Go Pro Hero 960 camera.”
