Our Facilities

The EDGE outdoor facilities are located on George Mason University’s Sci Tech Campus in Manassas, VA. These outdoor facilities include:

  • 5 seasonal canvas tents with picnic tables that provide seating for 15 – 100 people
  • 30 acres of forested wetlands
  • 1.2mi Piedmont Trail that traverses through these wetlands
  • 22 Low Ropes Elements. Each low element includes bench seating
  • 1 Alpine Tower with a tent & port-a-john
  • 1 Total Team Challenge with a tent
  • 1 Giant Swing high element
  • 1 Power Pole high element
  • 1 Open Field Space
  • 5 staff sheds for equipment storage
  • Water coolers are provided & water is available inside adjacent Sci Tech buildings
  • Bathrooms are available inside adjacent Sci Tech buildings

Parking

BUSES: Our EDGE staff will greet your bus at the entrance to the Center and direct you as to where to disembark and park your buses.

CARS, VANS: Park ONLY in the Freedom Aquatic & Fitness Center parking lot for the duration of the program.

HANDICAP DESIGNATED SPOTS are available closer to the open field and high element areas but require a permit be obtained; contact us to learn more about these spots.

Parking elsewhere on the Sci Tech campus requires a permit or could result in a $100 fine. Information on how to secure a daily permit can be found here: https://transportation.gmu.edu/scitech-campus/#VisitorsEventParking

For EDGE programs that are scheduled for indoor program on Sci Tech Campus, additional parking access at adjacent lots may be provided.

GEORGE MASON UNIVERSITY SHUTTLE

Provides shuttle service between the Fairfax and Science and Technology campuses for Mason students, faculty, and staff at no cost.  The schedule varies throughout the year so please check the current timetable in advance.

Large groups should contact https://transportation.gmu.edu prior to your program to ensure Mason shuttle service can accommodate your riders.

EDGE programs can happen anywhere, indoors, outside, at your site or ours!
